Employee of a service supplier helps, on February 12, 2008, in demolishing the house of Ioana Garla, destroyed in the landslips that affected Mateesti locality from Valcea County. The employees of ISU Valcea and some inhabitants demolished the houses of Ioana Garla and Constantin Manole. The windows, doors and bricks that could be taken from the houses were given to the relatives of the two families. .

A service takes place at an old Serbian monastery, Visoki Decani Monastery, in Decani, Kosovo on Feb. 14, 2008. The monastery was built between 1327 and 1335 and survived many wars. The monastery is currently protected by the KFOR force after the Kosovo war.
