Description: Romanians protest in Bucharest for the 15th straight day against a Canadian company's plans to open a gold mine in Rosia Montana locality, Transylvania region. The protesters demand the withdrawal from parliament of a bill regulating gold mining in Rosia Montana, the annulment of the deal with Canada's Rosia Montana Gold Corporation (RMGC), as well as a bar on cyanide exploitation in Romania and the introduction of Rosia Montana area into UNESCO's patrimony. The protesters also called for the resignation of the four high-ranking officials who drafted the bill, namely ministers Dan Sova, Rovana Plumb and Daniel Barbu and of head of the National Mineral Resources Agency, Gheorghe Dutu.
